Introduction
One of the main objectives of this Engineering Study is to get residents,
property and business owners, and community organizations involved in
the project development and decision-making process. Your input will
help the County develop the best possible improvement plan for John
Young Parkway and the Sand Lake Road intersection. On May 18, 2006 the
Local Planning Agency (LPA) approved the John Young Parkway Engineering
Study. We are now requesting approval of the project from the Board
of County Commissioners (BCC) at a Public Hearing scheduled for June

Board of County Commissioners Public Hearing Purpose
To ensure that your input is accurately reflected
regarding the recommended transportation improvements, you are invited
to attend a BCC Public Hearing for the John Young Parkway Engineering
Study held on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at the Orange County Administration
Building, located at 201 S. Rosalind Avenue, Orlando, Florida.
At this hearing the Study Team will present the recommended
improvement being considered. The hearing will
begin at 3:30 p.m. (or sometime thereafter) with a formal presentation
followed by a question and answer forum followed by public testimony.
Members of the Study Team and County Staff will be available to discuss
the project.

is to present the recommended alternative for John Young Parkway to
the County Commissioners for final approval.
Approval by the BCC allows
County staff to proceed with design, right-of-way acquisition (if necessary)
and construction of the recommended improvements.
